What a month it has been so far. I just completed a week-long shoot for a feature for Frontiers on the Best of L.A., due for publication at the end of the month. It came together really well, and I met some great people. Some of the Best of L.A. winners: The famous Irv's Burgers in West Hollywood; Ze Coquenao, Steven Earth Metz, and the very flexible students at Earth's Power Yoga in Los Angeles (Ze Coquenao now teaches at Mark Blanchard's Power Yoga. Hi, Ze!); Sundays at Area, hosted by Jeffrey Sanker; and Solstice at the Beverly Center (check out their cool Web site).
Last but not least was famous designer Nick Verreos showing off the hot accessories at trendy Kitson. Those of you who watch the TV show Project Runway or who know anything about fashion will know who he is. Needless to say, I'm a fan of his, and I was really looking forward to meeting him. His naturally charming and fun personality really came through, and we a great time during the shoot. Check out Nick's blog or his collection at Nikolaki Design.

I just completed shooting interiors and exteriors of the National Biscuit Company's former headquarters in downtown L.A., now the Biscuit Company Lofts, for a feature on lofts and downtown revitalization. The building, built way back in 1925, is made up of bricks, and features all-copper window frames. By the way, you can learn more about this historic building by watching Huell Howser's Downtown series on his wonderful show, California's Gold.

This month I had the pleasure of photographing world-famous DJ Victor Rodriguez and his beautiful weekend home in Palm Springs. Besides a great personality and a refined ear for music, he also has exceptional taste in decorating, and it was a joy to work with him. The photos will be accompanied by an interview with Victor by Jeff Matthews, as a feature in Frontiers magazine's October 21st issue. While we were there we also met and chatted with promoter Rusty Updegraff... Hey Rusty! So, if you're lucky enough to get in, you can catch Victor spinning Tuesday nights during Beige at the famous Falcon in Los Angeles or for a weekly pool side at the Viceroy Hotel and Spa in Palm Springs.

I recently finished a photo shoot featuring the beautiful and glamorous Julie Newmar and her lovely home and garden. I can tell you first-hand that Julie is kind, generous, and very beutiful -- you'll fall in love with her the minute she walks in the room!
Julie Newmar is most famous for her role as Catwoman in the '60s hit TV series Batman, but she has also starred in oodles of other films and shows and is still acting in Hollywood today. Check out her filmography at IMDB.
This month I also shot interior designer Craig Raywood's West Hollywood home. You can view a video clip of Craig giving ideas on entertaining for the 4th July on Fox News, San Diego. Craig will also be giving a lecture in August at the Pacific Design Center on the Art of Living.
These photos are featured in both print and online for a Home and Garden feature.

Photos of CA Boom 3, taken for Design Public, are featured on their site this month, along with a review of the show by Jeff Matthews.
-------------Event photographs of Caboom II in Santa Monica are now featured on the official CA Boom II Web site.

This month, the show will be aired on KCET, hosted by one of our favorite TV hosts, Huell Howser. CA Boom is coming back to the Los Angeles area March 23-26, and is definitely worth checking out.
A selection of my photographs of the CA Boom II design show are on display at Design Hatch, which is the blog at Design Public. Design Public is an excellent place to find fresh new designs in contemporary and modern furniture, and to discuss current design topics.
